- Enhanced and maintained an MVC scheduling application that employees used to create appointments and time off requests.
- Developed a calendar component, using C# and JavaScript/JQuery, that accessed a MS SQL Server database to dynamically update using the Entity Framework.
Kafka API
Created an API for creating/altering/deleting topics, and Partners (basically users), and for granting/removing access to said topics using the confluent MDS API. This replaced the manual process for teams to request and create topics with an dev friendly api.
Kafka on K8s POC
Created a POC using two apps to demonstrate deploying kafka on kubernetes, a producer and consumer. The Producer was written in Java using the Springboot framework and exposed some endpoints for producing to a topic. The Consumer was a React/Node app that used the exposed endpoints to produce messages to an app and then listened to that same topic using a websocket so as to display the messages being sent to the topic in real time.
Message Validator
Created a Message Validator for a Kafka Producer, it would read in validation rules written in yaml and validate avro messages to make sure they followed the custom rules.
Reassign Partitions
Created a python script which would log in to a kafka broker check the disc sizes and balance them if they weren't balanced. So if there were 4 data discs, and one was 90% full while the others were 10% full then it would balance them by moving partitions until the 4 discs were close in size.
C# Batch ETL
At Imagetrend I created an app for running a scheduled etl batch job for external datamart clients. (they required a different solution) This made sure the clients db was kept up-to-date with their internal counterpart, but also having some specific data transformations and transferring only select data. This was scheduled using a third party scheduling library, Hangfire. SQL queries were generated automatically for getting the specific data needed for transfer. I also was able to implement a dashboard for monitoring which included progress bars for data transfers. I can't link to the source code but this is a small sample.
.DTSX file reader
Created a app helps read in .dtsx files and is able to find out some helpful information from them, like printing the column flow, Getting the all the update statements, listing variables or custom extressions found in the .dtsx file.
Code Field Finder
At Imagetrend, I created a console app that helped match EMS NEMSIS, custom field codes, and custom user display names with their database column names and what files and tables they were located in.

Wrote some various bash scripts to help with different things. - Getting some SSAS column info and saving to different files. - Print some useful server/table info and Utilize the Code Field Finder - Function for swapping "_" with space and vice versa - Script for starting minikube/colima and docker
Schedule-It
For the Tech Academy, I participated in a three week long Live Project. This project was our chance, as students of the Tech Academy, to utilize all of the skills and knowledge that we had accumulated during the program. The project was a full scale MVC Web Application in C#, including html and js. We worked as a team to tackle front end and back end stories to add features to the project. I learned a great many things working on this project. This was the largest project I've worked on, and I had to make sure I had a solid understanding of the project in order to add features to it. That was a challenge, as some of the code was unfamiliar to me, but because of that I was able to learn a great deal before adding anything myself. I ran into some problems, but was able to look to my team for assistance. It was challenging but rewarding work, and in the end I was able to create code that I am proud of. BlackJack
I created a BlackJack console game. Seemingly simple at first glance but the program demonstrates the use of a library that I created that could be used in other Casino like game programs. I also used try catch blocks for some error detection and even connect to a database to log the errors. If you look in the Casino libray, you'll see I've utilized Object Oriented Programming that will allow me to easily expand on this game or to easily create other similar games. Library Management
The clip is of a stored procedure that creates a library database. Created using Microsoft SQL Server Management Studio 17, the database has tables for books, authors, library branches, book loans and borrower info, connected with foreign keys. Allowing libraries to access the information by use of SQL queries, of which there are examples at the end of the full file. You can check it out here!
Code First MVC
This was a code first MVC project as oppossed to a database first project. It's a program for a massage business that allows them to have a record of how many times customers have been there and what types of massages they got. Take a look at the source code here!
UraniumUI
I've begun learning and utlizing .Net Maui for cross platform mobile/desktop development. I've also used and contributed to some open source libraries like UraniumUI One contribution was fixing a picker field display field that would display the a class name instead of the customized list.
